i got the starter kit and the raspberry pi users guide, but the reader for the sd card did not work and the instructions were unclear on how to flash the sd card using mac. i was wondering what i should do about the faulty reader and how you flash an sd card.

If the card reader is not working, contact support@adafruit.com with a link to this thread for a replacement.
