5.25V USB Power Adapter - connector misaligned?

Post by mpalomer »

I recently bought the 5.25V USB power adapter. It works fine at powering things but the connector on the adapter seems to be misaligned and a little bent, which makes the connection with a USB cable a little tight. Is this normal? Has anyone had problems with the connector over time?

Can you post a photo showing the extent of the misalignment?

It's kind of pushed inward on the left side (not really visible in the pictures) and slanting upwards from left to right in the first picture. Also half of the bottom part of the connector is bend upwards (more clearly seen in the second picture).

That does look misaligned. If the case is preventing the connector from seating normally, it could cause premature failure of the connector. If you feel this is the case, contact [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement.

You might want to check your stock as I received one a month or so ago that has the same misaligned connector.

this is not a really what we consider a replacement failure, the pcb is just pressfit in, so sometimes it's twisted a little. As long as the cable seats properly, it should be OK.
