What Connection

Postby TxBobS » Wed Jan 30, 2013 2:25 pm

I have my rPis in the https://www.adafruit.com/products/1067 cases and like them. I have the ribbon cable from the breakout kit installed and leave them running out of the case. It works great for prototyping but now that I have a completed project, I'm lost. I would like to be able to leave the ribbon cable on the rPi and to switch between a protoboard and a completed project in a box. My issue is the socket would be hidden inside the project box. What types of connections could I use on a project box that would work with the ribbon cable coming out of the rPis?

I'm a rank beginner her so any advice would be appreciated and "I apologize for what is probably a simple question.

TxBobS,

I would look for a 26-pin male to female ribbon cable to plug into your project.
then when you want to use your project, just plug it's cable into the Pi cable.
The ribbon cable should be easy to find at most electronics suppliers or even on eBay!

Best of luck on all your projects!
