Hi all, so I was thinking about purchasing http://www.adafruit.com/products/1109
I had a question before I buy however. I want to affix this screen, facing outward, on the lid of a pelican case (with all wires and board inside the case). Would there be a way to wire this without soldering this board directly to the pi? Ie. some sort of ribbon cable or something a little more flexible. At the current time, this is the only plan I have for using the gpio connectors (unless anyone has any other sweet ideas).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
*Edit for spelling. Dang auto correct!!

Re: LCD Screen Questions
Yes, it is possible. It just needs 4 wires connected to work, but a GPIO ribbon cable would work too.

Re: LCD Screen Questions
Would you be able to link me to the necessary parts to make that happen? Hoping you guys have it all! I am relatively new to this whole thing, so not quite sure what all I would need. I have a soldering iron and all that stuff.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: LCD Screen Questions
You would need one of these
http://www.adafruit.com/products/862
When you build the Pi-Plate, you solder the header pins from the top-side of the board instead of the bottom. Then just use the ribbon from the Pi-Plate headers to the GPIO headers on the Pi.

Re: LCD Screen Questions
Would you be able to tell me the exact dimensions of the screen itself, seperate from the board? Trying to plan out what kind of hole i will need to cut in my case
