Keyboard Mapping onto Raspbberry Pi

by ericchamberlain on Mon Feb 25, 2013 10:04 am

I have just purchased a miniature keyboard ID# 857. I can't seem to map the proper key layout to the Raspberry Pi. Can anyone help me resolve this problem?

I posted the same question on January 30, but got no replies. Maybe you'll have better luck!

have you run raspi-config to set the keyboard layout?

Yes, I have run the raspi-config, but I don't know which one to choose.

the codes are generally a language, for instance en for english, followed by a dash, followed by a national variation, for instance uk.

think i'm using en-us, but i'm away from the pis for a moment.

Thanks for the assitance. I still am unable to configure the Pi for the miniature keyboard, however I was able to configue a Logitec keyboard.
You probably kow this, when you are picking your Local area, the space bar is used to check or un-check your choice.
Thanks again for your help.

sounds like maybe a dead column in the key matrix.

Yup, sure does sound like a dead column. Please email support@adafruit.com with a link to this thread and ask for a replacement
