I recently placed an order for several devices, Raspberry pi and a powered hub. As well as other stuff.
I have noticed that the RASP PI is powered by a micro usb cable.
I was curious, can the pi be powered by the hub?

Re: Raspberry Pi power
Can also be powered by the GPIO header. You can use the USB to TTL Serial connector and its tutorial. This page in particular. http://learn.adafruit.com/adafruits-ras ... t-the-lead. NEVER TRY TO POWER THE PI FROM MORE THAN ONE SOURCE AT A TIME. feet like i'm obliged to say that. Saving you from magic smoke hopefully
