Raspberry Pi power

Post by fritzd »

I recently placed an order for several devices, Raspberry pi and a powered hub. As well as other stuff.
I have noticed that the RASP PI is powered by a micro usb cable.
I was curious, can the pi be powered by the hub?

Can also be powered by the GPIO header. You can use the USB to TTL Serial connector and its tutorial. This page in particular. http://learn.adafruit.com/adafruits-ras ... t-the-lead. NEVER TRY TO POWER THE PI FROM MORE THAN ONE SOURCE AT A TIME. feet like i'm obliged to say that. Saving you from magic smoke hopefully :P
