Broken Links in Software Installation for the PiTFT

Post by silentsam »

I'm trying to calibrate my Resistive Touchscreen Overlay - 7" diag. 165mm x 105mm - 4 Wire
(PRODUCT ID: 1676) with the Resistive Touch Screen to USB Mouse Controller - AR1100 (PRODUCT ID: 1580).

I'm running Raspbian Wheezy (2014-01-07 release) on a Raspberry Pi Model B using this tutorial
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pit ... stallation

I used PuTTY to SSH into the R-Pi.

In the terminal I entered
wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... afruit.deb
It downloaded fine but when I tried the others this is what happened

pi@raspberry ~ $ wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... afruit.deb
-bash: wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... afruit.deb: No such file or directory

pi@raspberry ~ $ wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... afruit.deb
-bash: wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... afruit.deb: No such file or directory

pi@raspberry ~ $ wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... afruit.deb
-bash: wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... afruit.deb: No such file or directory

pi@raspberry ~ $ wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... 112613.deb
-bash: wget http://adafruit-download.s3.amazonaws.c ... 112613.deb: No such file or directory

Have these files been moved?
Where are they now?

I just checked all the links you posted and they loaded normally.

You may have been caught by some kind of caching error in the S3 cloud. Try them again and see if they still fail for you.

Thanks for the help but it still doesn't work in Ubuntu so I tried it in Windows 7 and it worked.
I can't figure out why but whatever, it works.
I'll figure out the details later.

WTF Ubuntu!
I'm so disappointed.
