IRKey Re,ote Issue

Post by Stasis »

Couple of quick questions. Should the IRKey card reboot the Pi when plugging it in? Also, when using the remote, sometimes XBMC will act like it is getting a bunch of signals from the IRKey, when no buttons are being pushed on the remote. I ordered two, but only have as I gave one away to a buddy, so I can't compare with the other on. Thanks in advance for your help.

Plugging in the IRKey should not reboot the Pi.

We have seen cases where the IRKey detects spurious button-pushes. This seems to be related to fluorescent light shining on the IRKey.

Appreciate the response. No fluorescent lighting is in the room, in fact it does it in a dark room. And yes, when plugging the key in or out, causes a reboot.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

We can try replacing it. Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement IRKey
