Hi,
Can the Adafruit Push-button Power Switch Breakout be used in such a way that it can turn off the Raspberry Pi via software?
I want to wire the switch between the RPi and my 5v supply, and then connect the "kill" terminal to the GPIO. Then when I issue the shutdown command have it drive the GPIO high, and activate the kill function. Or maybe have it stop writing to the SD card, then go high, as opposed to a full sudo shutdown.
Or am I dreaming?

The problem is, once you go through normal shutdown, there's no program running to drive the Kill line high.
There's no way to do what you're trying to do.
