so, yeah! get yer x0xb0xen running and play those patterns! For the past couple of months I have had an idea for a (series of?)
compilation(s), basically its kind of a revisit to the oldskool but with a
slight slant, the brief is simple - Groovy well programmed 303 bouncy
acid/electro, can be with or without vocals. Not 140+ bpm distorted acid
techno, more like the kind of stuff you can listen to and get down to. I
know there is a market for this type of stuff and indeed there are already
ppl doing this stuff - but I guess it would be fun for some AHers to
participate in a kind of collective similar to what has been done in the
past like the bug music competitions etc. I may even be able to get some
interest from an old contact in a very good UK label.
Back when I were a wee nipper I used to be in a fairly well known act with
releases on some good labels and I know some of you guys have put plenty of
quality tunes out, and listening to your stuff I reckon it would be an
excellent fun project with some real high quality trax at the end of it all.
And if anyone has some webspace to host the trax that would be great, if not
I can get something sorted once I read up on some web design. We can hammer
out the finer details of the breif and stuff once I have an idea of who is
interested.
tweak those knobs!
and show [email protected] all how your x0x technique can compete with the rest...
