Just another post to thank anyone who made the x0x possible.
I finally got myself a Midi keyboard and plugged it in to the x0x. It didn't work at first, and for a minute I dreaded the thought of debugging. Eventually, with the right info and a bit of perseverance I got the thing working.
And now I'm jammin'. It is great to finally play this thing with a keyboard. I knew the x0x was going to kill the sound of the few plug-in synths I've got. It is funny to play both at the same time so I can have the somewhat cheesy sounding digital synth sounds backed up with the huge sound of x0x analog thick lows.
I took a x0x, a drum machine, and a PA with one speaker to a New Year's party. Another dude had brought a computer and was blasting techno beats and whatnot with fruity loops or something. Eventually, I got him to pause the loops to fire up the x0x. Then, after playing a few patterns, we flipped the loops back on and I put the x0x in keyboard mode. That really got people's attention. A couple of people were staring at the x0x asking me "WTF is that!"
BaaaadddAaaaaassss - is what it is, Mo Fo.
Peace!
Sweet! Now I'm jammin'
