late august i'm going to black rock city for a small, intimate party with 30,000 other likeminded freaks.
we dont have enough parts for 400 more (total 500) -yet-
but we do have enough for another 100 and since we cant afford to do 400 at once anyways we're going to move forward and assume we can find the remaining parts.
we're also looking into having them manufactured. this is rather expensive, and may not be worth it unless we have it done in China.

Wow, how will you source all the rare parts for such an endeavor? I guess it might be a *bit* easier since you could buy in greater quantity to get past those pesky minimum buys...ladyada wrote:fully manufactured. but thats in the future. we're still going to produce at least 100 more kits to satisfy all the waiting people!

sweet... Congrats on the progress and on your vacation.
I have a ride to Black Rock but no cash to get in, plus I'll be back in school (stoopit semester system, bah) -- but I was just at the southeastern regional burn and we had mad fun.
About 1000 peeps on about 1000 acres of private land... many great sound systems, lots of fire toys...
I got to play live theremin over a DJ set on the main stage, it rocked so hard.. an x0x would have been well appreciated.

ladyada, are you going to be taking any of your lovely noisemakers to the desert?
