Update on the un-saving x0xb0x. It turns out that the x0xb0x shipped without an EEPROM chip. The seller was very apologetic and quick to respond. He quickly shipped me an EEPROM that will arrive tomorrow, plus a partial refund for the issue and my installation of the chip.

Besides the mixup, the machine really sounds awesome and I'm excited to get this IC put in so I can sync up my patterns with my es-1 and modular synth! Woo! From my limited knowledge about electronics, I'll say that the interior looks clean, organized, and the case is well constructed. The pots at the top turn with different fluidity and resistance, which is nice. The Cutoff knob seems to be the loosest, and this is great because thats the one that gets turned the most! The volume, accent, and pitch knobs have a locked center position. Maybe this is common x0x knowledge, but I really appreciate those touches.
