What is the most stable FW at the moment that lets x0x take midi in and output dinsync at the same time.
I am using Omsk latest FW at the moment but jumps out of sync every so often

i'm using the latest sokkos release, rarely have any glitches. My preferred setup is as a slave to RS7000, sending DIN Sync to a TR-707.

BANNED keeps giving me the error
so i tried programming the chip with my programmer http://www.advin.com/eprom-programmer/e ... r-580A.htm
Loads firmware fine, but when i put the chip back in the x0x it doesnt work, tried burning a few different FW and all the same. dead x0x
Is the bootloader contained in the FW? or how can I get the bootloader back on the chip.

the firmware .hex don't contain the bootloader but only the firmware
since you have the programmer, you can flash the bootloader, you can obtain it from the x0xb0x files at sourceforge

can you explain how to do this, sorry I'm a bit new to this bootloader stuff. I flashed realeoin's chip who you were helping and it worked, I just need to know how to combine the bootloader and the FW.
Cheers for the help.

http://x0xb0x.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewv ... ootloader/
x0xb0x_boot.hex should be only the bootloader, then you use BANNED to flash firmware
x0xb0x_full.hex should be combined bootloader+stock_firmware (not sure which version)
ehm, in both cases, after you got the bootloader flashed - you should be able to use BANNED to flash firmware via USB

edit: so I ticked all the boxes and I managed to get the full original FW on the x0x from the link you posted earlier, now i can read the x0x on BANNED but I still can't upload new FW.

no idea about this app, i don't have a programmer and have no idea how this works
all i know is that the bootloader should be located in the last 512 bytes of the flash memory
