as per the BOM, the tempo encoder has 40 positions per rev which get registered by the uC
however, there are two variants of the encoder, one which rotates smoothly and one which has 20 detents (so, it snaps/clicks)
there may be more variants, who knows
my question is: What do you have in your x0x(es)? clicky or non-clicky, and which ones do you prefer specifically for the TEMPO control on the x0xb0x?

Re: Poll: Tempo encoder - clicky or not?
i have the clicky and like the clicky.
it would be wired if the clicky would not click, maybe cause this is how i know it from the beginning.
