can the X0XB0X get the same vibe?

In short no. Or at least judging by all the audio samples I've heard, in the watery, rubbery, analogue squiginess squelchiness goodness stakes the 303 is a step ahead everytime.
Nothing should be taken away from the x0xb0x tho, it is clearly a close clone and the makers should be congratulated merely for getting the project to fruition. I ordered mine just the other day and am really looking forward to both the construction stage and the point at which I flick the switch to on, but if I'm being honest I am not setting myself to be blown away - mine will be sitting amongst very good company - check this link of my breeding pair courtesy of Robin Whittle's site.

this clip was posted by Brandon Daniel in a thread here in the modz section

sounds pretty close to my clip tone wise, he has had the transitors with high beta installed and the power supply mod done
Yeah those sequences have a real 80s feel to em
well I no longer have that 303 - sold many years ago for $90 to a travelling UK Dj.....
All I have is a whole DAT tape full of doodles, but my Dat machine's door mechanism broke!
Anyway I want the X0XBox to give me some of that old Humanoid and BabyFord (Flowers, Oochy Koochy)acid track vibe! And some old Future Sound of London off shoot material too
Still sounds so good after all these years, way better than any of the new stuff.....
Also the filter should be cool, I know my SH2 never sounded meaner running through a Syntecno TeeBee 303 clone! The 303 filter has such a nasty raspy edge to it, just the thing to give a Minimoog some teeth as well

BTW here is what the Syntecno sounded like sequenced with software step sequencer
I didn't use any slides. VCO and filter sound close, the square has that nice dribbley sound, but the accent is different.

But that Korg MS20 ringmod oscillator it has at the end, sounds awesome!
