USPS shipping

Does somebody knows what happens if i'm not at home when USPS come to deliver my x0x?
I'm in France and don't know anything about USPS.

USPS = Postal service

so..ask your local postal office!
In general, I think they send you a letter or something...or maybe they just leave the box at your doorstep.

Ok :D I didn't understood it like that!

So i will have to pay VAT (if there are) to my local postal office?
