Hi All, I noticed some problem with my x0x DIN SYNC. I saw there are some posts about this issue but mine is a little bit different. It happen when I connect a master midi clock to x0xb0x then it to my 606.
When I start the pattern all is in sync, but when I try to edit my x0x in real time , 606 and x0x itself lost the sync. Anyone have the same problem?
thanks

Re: DYN SYNC PROBLEM
with stock FW (1.05) and sokkos, "PATTERN EDIT" (mode #4) is in internal sync
when you switch to it - the FW starts to generate internal clock and is no longer "slaved"
there is another version of this mode which works in slave mode (it's surely available in sokkos but i'm not sure about stock FW)
USER A (on some panels it's labeled "PAT. EDIT (MIDI)")
it's #13 on the mode switch

Re: DYN SYNC PROBLEM
Hi I'm back with that problem, I didn't solved it yet.
At the moment I noticed not generate internal clock when in pattern edit. Because if I connect a master clock to X0X then MIDI thru to a MIDI drum machine, it works well. The problem appear just when I connect a dynsync drum like 606. :/
any advice?
cheers

Re: DYN SYNC PROBLEM
hm...
try the same setup again, but don't connect the cable to the 606, - measure the dinsync RUN signal with a multimeter
when the x0x runs - it should be high (5V i think) and 0V when it's not running

Re: DYN SYNC PROBLEM
Done, it is right! +5 when it run, 0 when it is in stop!
I should say, that if I switch from play mode to edit mode when it is running it stay in sync, it loose the sync when I press the next button to change some notes in the sequence.

Re: DYN SYNC PROBLEM
so the RUN signal is good, if you have signal also on the CLOCK pin of the dinsync port (which will be a pulse wave from 0V to 5V again) - then the dinsync works
perhaps try and update to sokkos 2
i'm not too familiar with the stock firmware and sokkos so i can't help much
i can look into the code if you have some specific question
