Hello,
I am running in "Pattern Edit" a pattern that was previously saved as pattern #1 .
Now i'm making modifications, and I would like to save. BUT I also want to keep the original pattern #1 unmodified.
These 2 solutions don't work :
* If I press "DONE", the new version will be saved to pattern #1, but the old version will be lost... :(
* If I stop and go on Pattern #2 (in order to save there), the unsaved draft will be lost... :(
How to save a running modified pattern to somewhere else ?
PS : something else : how can I clear a pattern ?

Re: Save as new pattern
this all depends on the firmware, i guess you use sokkos
in the first situation, you're on pattern 1, and you've modified it
the changes aren't saved yet (they're only in RAM)
i don't know if the firmware has a trick to save the modified pattern to another slot, but you can at least get the job done using BANNED:
connect to the x0xb0x, go to the pattern editor, chose the same bank/slot, and then press CTRL+L (to load from the x0xb0x into the pattern editor)
this would load the pattern from eeprom into the app, thus you can now save the modified pattern
then, the original pattern (which is in the app) you could either save it as .nsp file, or change the bank/slot to another destination and hit CTRL+S to send it to the x0x
not sure about clearing patterns, but again, you can do it from BANNED easily
EDIT: actually, with sokkos, weren't you supposed to press DONE twice to save the changes?
if so, then it might be possible after pressing DONE the first time - to change the bank/slot and then press DONE, i'm not sure about this

Re: Save as new pattern
Thanks antto for your answer, and please excuse my beginner questions in advance ;)

I don't know at all! How to know this?
I use standard firmware that I received with my WILLZYX kit.

I don't plan to use/connect x0xb0x on computer now, so I'd like to find a solution without computer editor.

Yes it seems that I need to press DONE twice... But I didn't know why ?

I'll have a try !

Re: Save as new pattern
How to save a running modified pattern to somewhere else ?
SOLVED :
1) Press DONE once
2) Press the pattern number where you want to save, and keep this button pressed + press DONE once again
