WOW! :D 8)
That is so cool!

I just loaded a bunch into NI BATTERY and ran a few patterns. Tweaked a little.
BD 14, and 41 Rock! 18 & 53 layered underneath.

Always fun to play with some new sounds. I have never gone for 606 samples, I just naturally grabbed 808 and 909 shots.
Thank you, thank you, thankyou

May I ask how the battery backup mod is done? I would love to do that!

bcbox told me how and i forgot to make a note of it after i completed it, iirc its pretty simple, using a 2032 coin cell, the positive wire connected to a pin on the mem chip and the other to ground.

a CR2032 lithium will work good. Just put it in a battery holder and wire...
the (+) side to the cathode of D39 (the side with the line) or C27(+)
the (-) side to ground.

mod edit: it's actually C27

CAN YOU HELP ME!!!???

I have recently bought a second hand Drumatix TR-606, however, the batteries in it were weak and the other day when i went to use it. they were dead. Now with new batteries the drum red leds only light up to the 7th and not all the way to the 16th.

Can anyone tell me how to reset this back to normal.

Many thanks

Jason

hello Adafruit peoples

I am currently modding my tr 606 ( confused machine mod )

I have 2 a questions for the bassdrum mod

Question no 1

On the confused machine site it says:

3. Remove Resistor "R56" and replace with a "470k" resistor. Now solder a wire between "R56" (the side the connects with "C16"), going to the point on the circuit board between Capacitor "C23" and "C24" (where they both meet).

going to the point on the circuit board between Capacitor "C23" and "C24" (where they both meet).

Do I need to scratch to pcb a bit ( remove the green) and make a solder point in the middle of the line.?

or can I simply solder R56 the C23 or C24 ( since they are connected together)

Question no 2

9. Now you need to solder another "10k" resistor between "Pin 3" of IC5 and the positive 15V+ power supply. The easiest place to find the 15v+ is at "Pin 8" of IC5.

So Will it be ok if I simply solder the resistor between Pin 3 and Pin 8 of the IC.

On this post picture ( picture 23 ) I do not see a solder resistor on the pcb

Did I missed something here?

Cheers

hope this make sense

best regards
