I'm looking for a sensor to detect when something is level. All I'm finding so far is to detect like water levels and stuff along those lines but what I need is to tell if an object is actually Level, does that make sense? Anyone know of a sensor to do this? I need it to be as accurate as possible as well.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Scot

Re: Level sensors
A multi-axis accelerometer can be used to detect orientation.

Re: Level sensors
"As accurate as possible" doesn't mean anything. Engineering is about tolerances; there are no absolute measurements.
How many degrees, minutes, seconds, or fractions of seconds of deviation from horizontal do you want to detect? How quickly is the plane you're measuring moving?
An accelerometer may be the perfect sensor, or you may need something simpler, cheaper, easier to use, or more accurate.
