sensors

Hey all,
I have a project that is very limited on space ( maybe one square inch of room) and I am looking to have a simple sensor, whether it be a motion or a ir or what have you control the on/off function. It will only be used to light a single LED. I at one time had a holiday angel once that was controlled by moving your hand in front of it and it would light up and move again and it cut off...I remember it being two types of leds for the sensor but I cant seem to find what Im looking for much less remember if there was anything else required other than the IR bulbs ( I assume)

Both the Maxbotix ultrasonic sensor and the PIR sensor will do what you want. The Maxbotix is physically smaller, but the PIR is less expensive.
