Electronic equipment like arduino can be protected from the potentially destructive effects of high-voltage transients. Protective devices, known by a variety of names (including "lightning barriers", "surge arrestors", "lightning protection units", etc.) are available. The "correct" name is "surge protection devices" or "SPDs" and this is generally used for lightning protection.dkb wrote:Does anyone know what exactly is needed to protect an Arduino and other devices from lightning surges?
