I have the Adafruit USB XBee Adapter (http://www.adafruit.com/products/247) and a Boarduino. Seeing that the USB XBee Adapter is basically an FTDI chip on an xbee board I hoped to also use this board to program my Boarduino. With some wire and a female pin header I brought out the 5v, gnd, tx, rx, reset from the USB XBee Adapter, but I get communication errors when I try and write a sketch. The schematic for the adapter is here http://www.parallax.com/Portals/0/Downl ... r-v1.0.pdf. Should this be straight forward? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Todd

Maybe try using the /rts signal (or /dtr) instead of the /reset one?
