18650 SD card socket

Post by minerva »

Hi everyone,

I recently designed a PCB layout using the "SDMMC18650" PCB-mount SD-card socket footprint from Limor's Eagle library.

Can anyone tell me where to buy the SD socket that specifically matches that package in the library? I just want to make sure I've got the right one that matches the PCB.

I checked out the Parts Finder Wiki, but it only lists the other version, the "06132" version.

Which of the two versions in the library would "better"? In terms of "better" factors I mean easier to purchase, or cheaper, or easier to solder by hand.

Note that I specifically want a "big" SD socket, not micro-SD.

Thanks!

This same problem inspired me to learn how to make my own eagle footprint. Dont forget to put pads where the screw holes are or you wont be able to mechanically secure it (superglue worked in a pinch).
