Hi Folks,
I'm curious if anyone knows of any small (both in key size and in number of octaves, let's say 2?) piano style keyboards where it's easy to read which keys are being pressed? I'm looking to make a mini synthesizer project and was curious if anyone knows of a company that sells a keyboard as a type of component.
Thanks!
Gabe

Like, a keyboard that you can easily interface with electronically? None that I know of. If you need / want physical controls on your synth, you will just have to use switches and maybe add your own plastic bits that can actuate them (see http://www.instructables.com/id/Reddit- ... te-button/).
While not hacker-friendly, the Korg Nanokey is pretty cool, though you'd have to do a bit of work to get it to work.
Consider adding support for user-defined interfaces like MIDI - that way, it would be up to the user to control their synth how they want.

I didn't see any online, but if you only need they keys themselves, you can try to 3D print them. That way, you get the exact dimensions you want. You could use a site like http://www.shapeways.com to print them.
