Hi there, I trying to find a way to project a straight even line across a surface, i.e.


It does not have to be powerful just straight, and cover about 12 inches. I am looking for some lenses, or mirrors to work with but having a hard time finding anything that pretty inexpensive. I would also like to be able to move the project line with motors, so it would have to be small.

These are essentially the same as what is used in carpenters laser layout tools. In the one I have, the laser module is angled slightly down toward the surface to project a strait line from just in front of the tool, out to about 20 feet.
