I have a question about the book "Encyclopedia of Electronic Components":

The sample .pdf is quite large and I wasn't able to download it last night.
Are these actual parts with part numbers and actual names that you can buy or are they more generic names like "resistor" and "capacitor"? I'm more interested in the different parts I can buy and how they work but I need product numbers and names.
