RFID reader pushing data to web service?

Postby nardev » Fri Mar 15, 2013 12:52 am

I thought i would be very easy to find this device, but it seems that it's not that common.

I need as simple as possible, device that will read RFID card and be able to make http request sending that code further to certain service.

Or at least, to be accessible so that pulling data is possible to be done without any special software.

Also, it should be cheep in range from 100 to 200 USD.

If you know anything like that, please suggest...

Don't know of anything off-the-shelf that would do that. But an RFID breakout and a Raspberry Pi could be programmed to do that for well under $100.

Yes, i have been thinking about all that but i don't know how reliable that would be and where would i be able to get fancy casing for that.

Also, it's bit sensitive access register so i would like to be able to rely on other company.

However, if i don't find anything, that would be the solution...

It's not that how much it costs, but i would rather prefer completed and tested solution.
