Trying to install GpsDrive on Raspberry Pi

by John.R on Sun Mar 17, 2013 4:36 pm

Hello all,

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get the program GpsDrive http://www.gpsdrive.de/index.shtml on my RPi and I keep running into problems, the most recent of which is occurring when I try to run the cmake .. command to build it. The errors it returns are that it 'could NOT find GTK2' and 'could NOT find XML2' I am not really a prowrecker, er, programmer, so I am a bit lost as to solve this issue, if indeed it even can be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like you're missing some library files the compiler needs. Try entering the following code:

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
sudo apt-get build-dep gpsdrive
When you void a product warranty, you give up your right to sue the manufacturer if something goes wrong and accept full responsibility for whatever happens next. And then you truly own the product.
