Solenoid valve

Post by alim777 »

The item i received is not the same that was advertised in your website, i was supposed to get a solenoid valve that would switch open when 6-12v applied and stay close when there is no voltage. But it does the opposite when i apply voltage its closed and with no voltage it is open. Could i please get a refund or if you guys want to replace i would need to receive them as soon as possible.
Thank you!

Which valve did you order? The plastic or the brass?

Our internal CS people are researching the problem. Let me know if you don't hear from them today.

All three valves you got are the same? Can you post a picture of how you have them connected?

Hello!
We are going to go ahead and send you another pair -- please post here your experiences working with the two options we sent you previously!

Thanks,

I recently bought these products from you.
2 x Liquid Flow Meter - Plastic 1/2" NPS Threaded[ID:828]
4 x Plastic Water Solenoid Valve - 12V - 1/2" Nominal[ID:997]

Before connecting them with Arduino and controlling through relays, I wanted to check how they work.

When I connected a power supply of 12V DC to the solenoid valve, nothing seems to happen.
I tried the same with all the 4 solenoid valves that I bought from you.

I believe the plastic valves have a minimum pressure requirement of 3 PSI, which must be applied before they will open.

Thank you for your response.
I also see that the water flow can only be one way. Is there anyway I can make it both ways?

No, it's strictly one-way, due to the pressure requirement.
The brass solenoid valve is two-way, and has no pressure requirement:
