phototransistor and ir led

Hello,

Please I want to purchase infrared led ( transmitter ) and phototransistor ( reciever ) ,but I am not sure if they are matched ,could anyone give me links of ir led and phototransistor that are matched.

Do you just want to detect IR, or communicate via IR? The IR sensor we carry is designed for 38KHz communication. This is the industry standard frequency for IR remote controls. It is compatible with the IR LEDs we sell, but you need to modulate the LED signal at 38KHz as described in this guide: http://learn.adafruit.com/ir-sensor

no please i need ir led and phototransistor that is sensitive to the infrared transmitted from the ir led ,I need them to make a circuit that detects fluid drops pass between them ,but I am not sure what type of phototransistor is matched to a certain ir led

We don't carry any phototransistors. The only IR sensors we have are the 38KHz version I linked before and this digital sensor: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1777
