Hi, I have been trying to figure out the simplest way to toggle two GPIO ports on a low energy remote radio receiver (battery powered) with long battery life. I'm thinking the Bluefruit series may do this, but I don't know.
I'd like to be able to plug the transmitter into a USB port of some device and send AT commands or something similar to the USB port which would then transmit to addressable battery operated receivers. I just need to toggle two lines remotely.
Just wondering if anyone else has this simple requirement.
Thanks, Adrian

That type of application is more or less what the XBee radios are designed for. They act as RF modems, and also have GPIO pins which can be remotely controlled.
