1} Exactly how do the resistors connect?

2} Does the USB connection force a 1/2 amp limit?

Exactly how do the resistors connect?
There are two resistor locations marked "Prog" for the current-level programming resistor and "Therm" for the thermistor. You would solder your resistor or thermistor there.
Does the USB connection force a 1/2 amp limit?
Most computer USB ports do. Many USB chargers will supply 1A or more.
