ws2811 ans LED 3W

Post by 23polus »

Hi

I'm planning to aquarium control lightning using strip led and individual ws2812b led to color background and also 3w LEDS for the central main part.
I would like everything being under control using data protocol of the ws2812.

So I'm planning to introduce WS2811 chips and use their RGB PWM output to drive the 3W LEDs. Unfortunately, current provided by the WS2811 is not enough for 3W LEDS.

So I'm planning to get 3W drivers with PWM input that I will connect one to each PWM outpout of the WS2811.

Unfortunately. I just discovered that WS2811 is common anode so the signal will certainly not work.

Is the any solution to make WS2811 compatible with the 3W led driver ? I would prefer to be shure before starting the project.

Thanks for your help !

Hi

Follow this link :

At the middle of the page, you will found a schematic that seems to work, from "Avec WS2812"
