Raspberry Pi talking to 3pi Robot

I am currently working on the project is to develop a video guidance system for 3pi robot. The controller is Raspberry Pi mode B.
I am planning to using TX/RX communicate with 3pi robot. Is there any software configuration on this project? Or how should I start with?

That's a robot platform we don't carry, so you might want to check with Pololu and see if they have any suggestions.
