Adafruit 16 channel PWM/Servo Shield Schematic?
I have my Adafruit pwm/servo shield (https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-16- ... rvo-shield) in front of me and am wondering what is connected to all of those plated thru holes (5x20 = 100 to be exact)? I looked through all the documentation I could find on this website but to no avail. Does a schematic exist for this shield? I can put them to good use but I need to know if they are connected to anything or their original design purpose. Thanks.

It looks like a breadboard area. Whenever someone designs a board like this, or any prototype, if they have area left over they will often put some pads in there for any modifications that are needed later. That is probably a 2 sided board so you can see if any traces are connected. Sometimes power and ground will be connected to a few. Those all appear unconnected.

That is my hope - that it is a breadboard area. I am hoping for a schematic to eliminate the possibility this is a multi-layered board. I don't think it is because it is affordably priced. Besides, a schematic may reveal some more opportunities. Thanks for your post.
multi-layered = a pcb layer or two may be sandwiched in the board. The board is two sided, it has pcb on top and bottom.

what they did was took this: https://www.adafruit.com/product/815 and made it into a shield. instead of spreading stuff out they just left it as is and put a prototyping area. its a common thing ladyada dose with her boards.

The PCB is two-sided, and the array of holes is indeed a prototyping area.
