About to get started with a cool interactive LED project for a decompression event, and really look forward to messing with the Fadecandy to really make the Neopixels fluid and dynamic. I will post some stuff on the project as I get up at least the electronics side.
~I wondered if it would still be good practice to put a small resistor between Fadecandy and Data In Neopixel strip? was this to help with ringing / transmission line impedance things and isn't as necessary with the fadecandy driving the strips?
~I am also guessing that because I will still be using a switching power supply a BFC is still a good idea because the lil components in the strip would not like the voltage dropouts.
Some possible necessary details about the setup:
~Data lines will be within about 1-2 feet max from fadecandy to strips
~power lines about same probs within 1-1.5 feet from supply to strips
~will use 3 lines of 2 strips of 30 / meter (3 2-section 60 led strips)
~Neopixels on seperate power from microcontroller or raspi

Re: FadeCandy to Neopixels General Questions
I guess I'd err on the side of caution, and follow our best practices for NeoPixel strips. So that means using the resistor and the capacitor.
