Project using mini volt meter Product # 460

Post by RussellJames »

Adafruit Forum post under tools - October 25, 2011 AT 7:10 am - Project Posting HOW-TO: Make a variable DC power supply

Hey guys, have searched your site to see if any problems have been identified or improvements have been made to the electronics of this project. After reading your project post on building this project it appears to be a good fit for me as I tool-up my electronic work bench.

I intended to upgrade the project box, add some LEDs and ensure anything connected to it is protected from noise and over current by adding additional fused terminal posts.

Thank you for any advice you may provide.
Cheers

Keep in mind that 2-wire, "self-powered" digital meters like that do not operate below their minimum voltage spec, which for that one is 3.2V I think. So somewhere below that voltage it would just turn off. If you want to read lower voltages you will need a different kind.
