Small-Size Perma Proto Push-Button Question

Hi,

I want to make a project that uses a number of push buttons. Ideally, I would use as small a board as possible, which is why the small perma board is appealing. However, I want to use the push buttons, and they take 4 slots.

So, my question, is whether or not I can just snip pins that I'm not using?

Or, if I don't activate a GPIO pin in python, does it matter if a signal goes to it?

You can snip pins you are not using. But if you don't read from those GPIO pins on the Pi it doesn't matter.
