SD Card Replacement

Post by AvionicsR »

There's talk of reliability issues with SD cards due to the large number of write cycles in a system such as the Raspberry Pi. Is there a hardware replacement for an SD card that would have reliability? Such as a flash memory IC that can be hard wired to an adapter board? Or another form of storage for the OS?

an sd card is pretty much "a flash memory IC that can be hard wired to an adapter board."

you could turn off swapping and store your personal files on a usb hard drive or an nas device.
