SMT reflow p&p machine.

Hi.
I've been drooling for some SMT machines lately and have a budget close to 100k total on a stencil printer, p&p + feeders and reflow owen.
Witch machines would you choose with this budget?

Do you think that Manncorp R-500 (or similar) is sufficient to give a solid repeatable good soldering? or would you go for a reflow with more heating zones?
Any good advise is appreciated.

that really dependent of what you what to assemble not need same equipment for do 0805 that for 0201
same apply for volume not same machine for make 100 pcb that one for make 10000
based on 15 year of experience on assembly the key was good past printer whit true convection reflow
a good reflow at good price was easy to got on used market
semi auto stencil printer was a must
as for pick-palce i cannot answer since i not knot what you assemble

it wil mostly be 0805 res/kaps some fine pitched ic and none bga's. will be low volume production, 300-500 a day, 140-160 components each, lead free. production will only be part time in the beginning. we have high labor cost in norway (50usd/h included taxes etc) so it would be greate to keep it as automated as posible.

whit this requirement you may look for used machine and save big buck
manncorp have a nice TWS Quadra for just under 10K whit 120 feeder (Ebay 150590428191)
but you will still need to place manually into the past BGA and 0.5mm pitch ic
ok whit 300 board / day that become quite limit of this solution

remember that most of time feeder set will cost more that the machine so if you
buy used machine got one that come whit >40 of feeder

then if need increase you may buy new machine that was more precise
and keep old for place thing like decoupling capacitor ...
you may have 3 pick place that feed a single reflow whit no problem

remember that got good true convection reflow and stencil printer will save you lot of trouble

With $100k to spend you should be looking way upmarket from a Quadra.
You should be able to get a very good used machine on that budget - I know you can get a factory refurbed TP9 from Mydata with feeders for about $40K. You need to look carefully at your requirements to work out what type of machine will be best for your needs.

The original post is by now pretty old but anyways, we are letting go of our own TWS Quadra Laser with encoder motors. It does 0.5mm pitch no problem, and even 0402 with a bit of effort.
Build year is 2008 so just a bit more than three years old. Going for 24k$ with 76 various feeders included. Location South-East Europe. (twsquadralaser.com)
