This is just the microcontroller preprogrammed with the latest v1.2 'universal' firmware - 115 North American codes and 115 European codes. This chip will not upgrade earlier kits (v1.1 or v1.0) it requires v1.2 PCB!
This is a regular Attiny85V (datasheet>) programmed with TVBGone firmware 1.2
